*Abha Odalic
Al Jauf x Iaba by Zancudo
Bred by Ses Rotes SA in Spain and imported in 1981.  Sired by the Galero son Al Jauf, and out of a Zancudo daughter, this lovely mare has produced 12 progeny.  Among them is Exodus I, US National Champion Hunter owned by Stanley Ranch.
"Odie" is still in good health and will be bred in 2005, hopefully to produce a daughter to replace her in the broodmare band of Julie Teutsch.

*Bianca I
Jacio x Eritrea by Habiente

One of only 13 Jacio daughters imported to the United States (Stanley Ranch 1980) and one of the last producing mares.  Her sire, Jacio, was bred by the Yegunda Militar, a branch of the Spanish government. Jacio, like most Yeguada Militar stallions was posted to a private stud. The Jacio sons and daughters are appreciated worldwide and only about 45 were exported, 17 of those imported to the United States; others went to Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Brazil.
Bianca I is still producing foals for Herder Arabians.

*La Linda SSB
Motamid x Jaffar by Mizar

Foaled in 1985, the elegant *La Linda SSB was bred in Spain by Dr. Tom Hoyt.  Her sire is the Galero son, Motamid, and she out of the Mizar daughter, Jaffar.  *La Linda has a tightly linebred Classical Spanish pedigree.  She has 4 lines to the Yeguada Militar stallion Maquillo and 2 lines to Maquillo’s ¾ brother, Malvito.   Her tail female traces to the desert bred mare, Saklauia Yadran, a gift to General Franco by King Abdullah of Jordan in 1949.
A big, powerful mare with captivating motion, she has produced a group of offspring who have been very successful in the showring, and now the daughters are proving to be outstanding broodmares in their own right.  She is owned by Jim Porcher, Blue Mesa Horse, has been under his care all of her life, and is still producing foals for him.

*Zaon
Jacio x Onza  by Garbo

*Zaon was foaled in 1979 in the United Kingdom.  His mother had been imported from Spain by Major and Mrs. Hedley in 1978.  In 1981, he was imported to the U.S. by a group of people, one of whom was Randall Fields.  From the time he was imported until 1987, he only sired 11 foals.  He then lived in obscurity  for 9 years until a gentleman from Idaho named Glade Chandler purchased him in 1995.  He sired 3 foals while in the hands of Glade.
In the summer of 1998, Spanish Arabian breeder Paula O'Keefe located this striking Jacio son by searching through The Registry's CD-ROM.  A trade was negotiated for two of Paula's young stallions and in August of '98, *Zaon was on his way to Texas.  Unfortunately, breeding season was over so no young'uns arrived in '99.
In 1999, at the age of 20, *Zaon bred his first straight Spanish mares.  He is now breeding some of the finest straight Spanish mares in the country.

*Sasaki
Nagasaki x Safia by Galero

*Sasaki is lovingly owned by Paula O'Keefe, who has believed in these bloodlines for years.  When the chance to own *Sasaki came along, she knew the predictability of what he would produce and that he would be the perfect complement to her mares.  She has provided him a home where he is treated with the respect and dignity befitting a stalllion of his accomplishments.
*Sasaki's daughter, A Fancy Miracle, is the dam of National Champion Stallion Magnum Psyche.
Because of his advanced age, beginning in 2005 he will no longer stand at public stud.  So those who have his sons and daughters.....treasure them for the Spanish jewels that they are!
