"Classical Spanish Semental Del Estado ( S. del E.) bred by JOSE MARIA DE YBARRA. He was sold to the Cria Caballar in 1959 and certified as a quality breeding sire for both their private use and at Public Stud. TABAL died in 1971, having sired 68 get by live cover, and had 604 grandget. TABAL is considered one of the "Greats" of Spanish bloodlines. He traced to the SULTANE Mare Family and was considered Saklawi in type."

"One of the two principle sons of Congo (the other being Zancudo). His son Jacio (ex Teorica), grey 1968, was largely responsible for the successful breeding program of Mendez Moreno. *Figuroso (ex Bahia II), grey 1966, established important lines in Holland and the USA.  Kabioto (ex Sandalia) chestnut 1969, became a popular sire in the late 1970’s.  Four Tabal daughters were included in the 1965 Steen Arabian Horse Ranch importation to the USA. Their introduction to America did much to demonstrate the quality that lay waiting in Spain. Estopa (ex Uyaima), grey 1965, obtained world wide renown for her extremely successful get in Germany."
