24 year old winner of Best Condition in the 2004 40 Kilometer RAID (Endurance) in Spain.  Known for his excellent bone, correct legs and athletic ability, Calvados maintains an amazing 24 pulse at rest.

Calvados tail mare family is that of Saklauia Yadran, the bay mare given to General Franco by King Abdullah of Jordan in 1946. This mare's sire was an Abeyan and her dam a Saklawieh Jedranieh.  This is considered to be the mare family closest to "desert" breeding in Spain today.
