The Stanleys owned BETONICA (purchased at a Military auction, along with nine other mares) in her teens.  BETONICA's dam SAKLAUIA YADRAN was a gift, in 1946, from King Abdullah to General Franco.  SAKLAUIA YADRAN was put into the Spanish Yeguada Militar, and produced (x MAQUILLO) BETONICA and 15 other foals.  BETONICA was then put back to the Military stallion TABAL, which gave the Military the needed two generations on which to base the breeding merit of a mare line, as the F2 generation is notoriously hard to breed post inclusion of new blood.
