(Zurich x *Aldebaran II) 1965 chestnut stallion
469 progeny "Imported in utero by the Steen Ranches (foaled
at Morristown, New Jersey). He was sold at public auction in 1967
for $1200 to J. H. Dunn who was responsible for demonstrating the stallion’s
pre-potency as sire, and again in 1972 to Bru-Mar-Ba Arabians. Many of
his get became extremely successful in the show ring, catapulting him high
on the list of America’s sires of significance. He died on April 1, 1991."
The leading Spanish sire in number of progeny, Barich is the sire of such notable stallions as Jdar Bari Brita, Bariata de Washoe and Retador. *Barich was advertised at stud in the January 1972 Arabian Horse World magazine by Bluebird Hill Arabians, Vic and Pat Black owners, Bill Hughes trainer.
